Independent Service Relationship
The Rider provides independent pickup and delivery services through FreshDrop and is not an employee of FreshDrop unless a separate written contract states otherwise. The Rider is responsible for licensing, roadworthiness, safety gear, insurance, taxes, and lawful operation.
Custody and Handoff Duties
The Rider must collect and deliver only the assigned order, verify handoff details, avoid unauthorized stops, protect items from damage, and update order status truthfully. Handoff confirmation may be required from the customer or cleaner before the order can move to the next stage.
Customer Privacy and Conduct
The Rider may use customer and cleaner contact details only for the assigned delivery. The Rider must not harass users, request off-platform payments, retain contact details, share addresses, or misuse location data.
Payouts, Penalties, and Incidents
Rider payouts may be adjusted for failed delivery, false status updates, lost items, proven misconduct, chargebacks, or unresolved disputes. Riders must immediately report accidents, theft, damaged items, unsafe locations, or law enforcement issues.
