Important Legal Notice
These Terms of Use are a lawyer-ready operating draft for FreshDrop. They should be reviewed by qualified Nigerian counsel before launch, especially for payment, liability, tax, employment, and consumer protection treatment.
By creating an account, browsing the marketplace, booking a service, accepting a job, or using any FreshDrop feature, you agree to these Terms and any role-specific agreement that applies to you.
FreshDrop's Role
FreshDrop operates a technology marketplace that connects customers with independent cleaning businesses, cleaners, riders, and service partners. FreshDrop is not the direct provider of cleaning services unless expressly stated for a specific order.
Cleaners and riders are responsible for the services they accept, the accuracy of their profiles, their conduct, and their compliance with applicable laws, permits, taxes, and professional standards.
Accounts and Eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account unless you promptly notify FreshDrop of unauthorized access.
FreshDrop may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts where information is false, conduct is unsafe, fraud is suspected, legal compliance requires it, or platform integrity is at risk.
- Customers must be legally capable of entering binding agreements.
- Cleaners and riders must complete verification before receiving jobs.
- Users may not create duplicate accounts to bypass suspension, limits, reviews, or dispute outcomes.
Bookings and Service Performance
A booking is confirmed only when the required order details are submitted, payment or wallet authorization is completed where applicable, and the cleaner accepts the request. FreshDrop may show estimates for price, time, distance, or availability, but these estimates may change before final confirmation.
Customers must provide a safe pickup or service location, accurate item or property information, and be available during agreed pickup, service, and delivery windows. Cleaners and riders must follow handoff confirmation requirements and platform status updates.
Payments, Wallets, Holds, and Payouts
FreshDrop may hold customer funds until the relevant service milestone is completed or until a dispute is resolved. Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers. FreshDrop does not store raw card details.
Wallet credits may be used only inside FreshDrop unless the platform expressly supports withdrawal. Payouts to cleaners and riders are subject to verification, dispute holds, chargeback risk, fraud review, and the applicable agreement.
Cancellations, Refunds, and Complaints
Cancellations, refunds, and service complaints are handled under the Refund, Cancellation, and Service Policy and the Complaints and Dispute Resolution Policy. FreshDrop may investigate order records, messages, handoff confirmations, photos, support tickets, and payment logs.
FreshDrop may issue a wallet credit, refund, partial refund, replacement service, payout reversal, or no refund depending on the evidence, timing, and fault.
Prohibited Conduct
Users may not abuse the platform, harass others, submit false claims, manipulate ratings, avoid platform fees, misuse personal data, upload infringing content, interfere with security, or use FreshDrop for unlawful activity.
FreshDrop may remove content, restrict features, freeze payouts, suspend accounts, report unlawful conduct, and preserve records where misconduct is suspected.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreshDrop is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential losses. FreshDrop's aggregate liability for a claim should not exceed the amount paid to FreshDrop for the affected order, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or rights that consumers cannot waive.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution through FreshDrop support. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation, arbitration, or courts with competent jurisdiction, depending on the final legal structure approved by counsel.
